Base is White cardstock.
I have created the lots of spiral Roses using the paper quilling tool then arrange them in the form of heart.
Attach Paper Twine available in my store , then add a ribbon bow.
Love clear stamp.
Polka dots embossed paper.

This time challenge is Anything Goes as always we have a twist too and the twist is CAS cards- Clean and simple.

What is considered Clean and Simple -

Clean: uncluttered, lots of white or open space
Simple: clear focal point with little distractions
Reproducible: can be quickly and easily mass produced

Here is the challenge pad -

N here is my creations -

Base is Red Cardstock in both the cards, locally bought.
I stamped with Red stamp pad on White Cardstock n then cut it out in the shape of circle leaving white space in both the cards.
Then place the stamped circles on Red Cardstock.
Add buttons in the middle of flowers in my second card. Buttons are from Pie Lane bought from Ujjwal.

I m back with my new creation.

Made a card using beautiful Petaloo flowers sent to me by Ash. Thanks Ash for these lovely flowers.

Now here is my creation -

Base is Chrome yellow cardstock.
Green PP is from Papermania.
Green paper lace is handmade.
White embossed paper sent to me by blogger Mansi, thanks Mansi for this lovely paper.
Petaloo flower.
Red polka dots ribbon, locally bought.
Printed wooden button, locally bought.
Butterflies shapes are punched.

Hi all

Christmas is coming and I am very much excited about it because every year we friends used to go to see Christmas celebrations at Cathedral Church in Cannaught Palace on 25th of December. Fabulous decoration, fabulous celebration and Yes Yummy Christmas cakes were also there.

I like Christmas festive colors, decoration, baubles, wreaths everything I like so much.

I am totally in mood to create a card on Christmas.

So Here comes my creation -

Base is Red cardstock.
Snowflakes shapes are punched.
Polka Dots strips cut from some PP.
Baubles made from thick binding sheets.
Dots created by fineliner pen available in my store.

Its time for another challenge at ICR

This time challenge is to Make a Christmas Project/card and Yes of course we have a twist too and twist is Use Non traditional colors.
(NO GREEN OR RED , AND NO WHITE BACKGROUND , white can only be used as a filler or support )

Here is the challenge pad -

And here is my creation along with envelop -

No traditional colors, no red, no green. I just play with blue and its shades which is light blue, use some yellow and some white, sprinkle some golden and blue glitters on card but can't be able to capture in camera, Sorry for that. Circle is hand cut, light blue layering is totally hand drawn and hand cut behind the snow man. Christmas tree is hand drawn and hand cut, tiny little Christmas trees are punched.Snowman image is digi. and sentiment is stamped and yes little bit yellow reflection on blue layers and on dark sky too are created with dry pastels.

Challenge is - Use Dots and/or Stripes in your Creation!!! But yes, with a twist again...

And the TWIST is to Tag it!!!... i.e. either add a Tag to your creation or make a stand alone Tag... If making the 'Tag' only then the dots and/or stripes have to be on the tag in any form... if the Tag is incorporated on the creation in any way(visible, hidden or otherwise), then the dots and/or stripes could be anywhere on the creation in any shape, form or size :)

I have created a collage this time using dots and attach a tag to it. Tried some quilling for the first time. This collage is very close to my heart.I also plan to frame this collage and wish to hang it in my room.

This is a mix media work for background effect, I have used water colors and for the birds I have used Poster colors. There is so much detailing in it. I like to do detailed work.(reference taken from one of the book based on Birds)

This time challenge is to Make an EASEL CARD and the twist is Incorporate one/many/all of the basic shapes (Square, Triangle, Rectangle & Circle) on the card in any form.

And here is my creation for the challenge -

The shape of the card is totally handcut.
Image is digi colored with colored pencils n highlighted with black fineliner(0.4mm)
Sentiments are digital.
I have created faux stitch on the sentiments with fineliners(0.4mm).

This card is answer to all those queries/questions who have asked from me how to use fineliners on cards or whats the use of fineliners on cards.

We can create faux stitch with fineliners(product available in my store), we can also highlight the digi images with fineliners and even we can do fine writing/calligraphy with fineliners too n yes we can do coloring with these fineliners too.

Floral creation + Colored Correction tapes

Hi all

This card I made for few of my friends who have asked from me, how to use colored correction tapes in card making, scrap booking.

In this card, I have created this flower by cutting yellow and red petals and putting them on one another, to create a flower.

Background soft colored strips are created with Colored Correction Tapes and even on some of the strips I have given the scratched effect.

There are so many ways to use colored correction tapes in your creations. Its totally depends on your creativity how to explore new ways of using this new product.
Even we can do doodling over this colored strips too.

This is a Paper Relief work I created for the ICR challenge

This time challenge is seriously interesting and challenging too. We have to create our creations using Black & White with a tinge of teal/turquoise/tiffany blue/aqua... + No DPs. Wow what a challenge? Interesting and challenging too.

When I came to know about this challenge suddenly an idea of creating something different came in my mind and I thought why not create my work in some different technique and lets introduce my fellow crafters on ICR (Indian Craft Room) to a new world of paper crafting. Thanks to my artist teacher who taught me this new technique long time back.

So here is my creation to all my fellow crafters.

I am using black and white + peacock blue. I don't want to restrict my artwork in some boundaries so I overlap everything on the frame border, outside from the inner space.

This Card I made for ICR challenge(COLOR HUES + I.C.R. CHALLENGE!) as an inspiration for other fellow crafters.

Its a COMBO challenge. Combine some COLOR HUES with ICR. What is ICR? Indian Craft Room…. But for the challenge, we interpret I-C-R in any ways as my interpretation is I=Ink, C= Circles or Celebration as I am using the both, R= Ribbons along with that I am using color Hues - Red, Yellow and Green.

This card I made for ICRE1 – Celebrating Womanhood.

Close views -

Base is Green Cardstock.
The image is hand painted on canvas using mix media technique (Water colors, Poster Colors, paper cutouts).
Turquoise floral pattern with leaves is hand painted.
Sentiment “Celebrating Womanhood n The Lap of Nature” is handwritten.
Flowers, butterflies and Bird are puffy stickers.
Spiral leaves are Die cut(Thanks Mansi for this).
Small leaves at the bottom of the image are punched.
Red floral cutouts at the top of the two corners of the card are cut out from some PP.

I am celebrating my womanhood through this card. This card is totally the replica of my life as well as inspired by Ash’s video.

Since my childhood I was really inspired by nature, capture nature in my drawings, paintings, sketchings as well as I am inspired by the historical monuments of our India’s rich heritage and love to capture them in my paintings too.

I am hungry as well as crazy about art and my hunger for art grows day by day.

I am proud to be a woman because I can understand, I can feel, I can see each n every truth of life through Art, more than any one else.

Lastly but not the least, I thank Ash of Indian Crafters Room to organize such wonderful event. Thanks Ash.

Winter is approaching in Delhi, so foggy and cold here, sometimes its raining these days. I like winters,cuddle in quilt, wear jackets, I love it. But in winters I become so lazy which is the bad part of winters for me. What u say?

Although there is no snow in Delhi, we can't find snow here, in winters but I like snow and this time I welcome the winters of Delhi with this card.

Hi all

Yesterday I attended the event "Akhyan - A celebration of Masks, Puppets and Picture Showmen Traditions of India" at Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA)"

They organize several events to promote and aware people about the art of Masks and Puppets of India. I met several crafters and artists there. Some were making masks and puppets, some were making paintings from natural colors. It was a wonderful experience for us (my friend and I) to know their Culture, to know their Art.

In a big hall they showcased the masks and puppets from several states of India. They also showcased the Phad Paintings (These paintings are created using the rainbow of bright colors and subtle colors. The popular themes of the Phad paintings are of Hindu deities, old legends and the stories of the maharajas of the bygone era. Phad paintings are magnificent and its outlines are drawn in block and filled with colors.)

They have a Book Exhibition also on Masks, Puppets and Picture Showmen Traditions of India.

They also have a Nature Bazaar which includes handmade stuff from different states of India.

Event will continue till 20.11.2010. Timings are 11 a.m. - 8.30 p.m. Any one can attend the event.

Dilli Haat, INA

Hi all

Yesterday I went to Dilli Haat, INA, I met several artists there, they all are National Awardees in the field of Art and Craft. Basically they are called Shilp Gurus.

The whole Dilli Haat was decorated to celebrate the spirit of Common Wealth Games, Delhi 2010. Every time when I went there I enjoyed a lot but this time I enjoyed more than my previous visits there. To meet with Shilp Gurus, to know the art and Craft of different states, I realize how wealthy our India in the field of Art and Craft.

Suddenly I came to know a very unique art there which is called "Sea Shell Craft" from Orissa. I was just stunned to see this unique Art. Artists from Orissa used to carved on sea shells and then paint over it. Carving is so minute and detailed. After carving they paint over the carved part. They also make jewelery from sea shells and various other decorative products. I click some pics. of them and also talked to them about this art.

Today I want to share my Pottery work with you. Working on wheel is so much fun. I like working on pottery wheel. I suggest all my blogger friends try your hand in Pottery. Feel the smell of clay. When clay goes up n down on wheel according to the rhythm of your legs, wow it gives so much calm,cool,inner peace,silence and satisfaction. Everyone should experience this joy.
This Bird I made with clay. The bottom circular part I create it on kick wheel and tail and the upper face part I create it with the hand built technique in Pottery.

These dolls I made with empty juice boxes long time back. Earlier I uploaded these dolls on busymitts.com and wanted to share these with my blogger friends also. I saw some tutorial on internet (forgot the link) and tried myself. I taught how to make these dolls to my students also. They enjoyed a lot and made beautiful dolls with empty juice boxes according to their creativity and I was amazed to see the outcome from my students. They come up with beautiful dolls and every doll has its own character. My main motive to teach my students how to utilize empty juice boxes which they thrown outside of the school canteen and they inspired a lot. Some of them made these dolls to gift their friends and relatives also.

Base is Pink Cardstock.
Roses patten paper is completely handmade.I created roses pattern on dull brown Card Stock. I have a roses stencil,first I thought to give a stamp effect on Brown Card stock to create my own pattern paper.I tried it on another sheet but was not satisfied with the result. I was so upset with the result. Then decided to create my own pattern paper and i just take out my brushes and colors.First draw the roses from stencil and then color each and every rose along with shading. OMG its reminds me of my college days when I continuously sat down coolly,calmly and patiently,for long hours with my brushes and colors to complete my work even at late nights.So much satisfied with the result and I cheer up to myself that college days are back again.Precious days.
Combine white and brown ribbon so as to look one.

Hi all

Idea came in my mind and I just make a card along with its envelop on a white card stock as white cardstock is my favourite. Use bubbles embossed white cardstock (which spardha sent me on my birthday) on plain white card stock.I am amazed by this lovely paper of Spardha n want to use this on my card and just waiting for a good idea and thought,now idea and thought came in my mind and I just quickly made a card.

Use puffy stickers over it which I bought from my local market.Sentiment is from Itsy Bitsy.

Base is White Cardstock.Flowers embellishments are from Delhi Haat, I love these flowers.Footprints are puffy stickers.Hey do you know how I made the black rounded corner paper shape?Any guesses....Hmm I made the black rounded corner paper shape from my sis kurti's printed tag,amazing na,I just love the outcome. I have a habit of collecting tags of clothes of different shapes. I put the tag on black cardstock and draw the shape of it on the cardstock and cut it out.Its the great substitute of craft punches.Sentiment is from Itsy Bitsy.

I did water color painting after a very long time,infact its years n years I never did any painting in water colors.

One of my friend did water color painting after watching her painting I really inspired to do painting in water color.

In my college days I was not at all good in water colors,even I was unable to give depth in my water colors works, I was never satisfied with my water colors works.

Now I did water color painting after so many years,keep it in mind that I have to create depth in my work, I tried hard, give almost every effort to create depth.

Sorry for writing late. My system was down for sometime n I missed all the happenings in this blogging world.
Meanwhile I made a birthday card and present for one of my blogger friend Spardha and eager to post it on the blog.

She liked newspaper gift wrapping, so I wrapped all her gifts in newspaper, I also made handmade flowers for her.

Then I wrapped all the gifts together in one newspaper and tied it with ribbon.

I did this type of wrapping first time and I love the outcome.

Sorry for writing late, I was too busy with lots of work,first my clay exhibition and then summer workshops(will post a pics of summer workshops soon).Now finally got a time to post on my blog a work of mine which I tried earlier.

I was very curious to know about Chenille Sticks,I searched on net, saw some tutorials,even these sticks are not easily available in local markets in Delhi.

Then finally my search ends when one of my teacher had shown me these sticks and even taught me how to make flowers from these sticks.

This time I converted the sketch in to flap card.

I use blue cardstock for the base and purple embossed sheet over it for the front of the card.

Painting, Pottery and Sculptures Exhibition (22nd March – 26th March,2010)

Hi all

An exhibition of Painting, Pottery and Sculptures was held in art gallery and studio of “Maati Srijan”(an affiliated centre of IGNOU for Craft and Design – Pottery in Patparganj, East Delhi). Exhibition was Sponsored by “Sahitya Kala Parishad” and organized by Ajanta Kala Society, East Delhi. Exhibition was Inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Amreesh Gautam ji (Deputy Speaker, Assembly of Delhi).

Beautiful Creative and Artistic impressions by renowned artists group led by Shri Mangae Ram Sharma ji, Shri V.S. Rahi ji and other senior artists were on display which have been appreciated by the visitors.

Senior Pottery and Sculpure artist of “Maati Srijan” Ms. Suresh Wati has also displayed her beautiful works of Terracotta.

Budding artists pursuing their course on Pottery (Shivali, Preeti Gupta, Preeti Kumari, Olga M. Marino, Nirmallyakar) of Maati Srijan have also displayed their beautiful works.

I personally Thanks to Shri V.S.Rahi ji and Shri. Mangae Ram Sharma ji who have given Maati Srijan an opportunity to display their beautiful creations and express heartiest thanks to Shri Anand Dev ji (Senior Artist) and Shri Om Prakash Khare ji (Senior Artist) who have given his precious time to come and encourage all of us.

I also Thanks to Dr. Vivek Mishra ji who has played an important role in coordinating the entire exhibition and anchoring the “Kavita Pathh” at Closing ceremony of the session.

And in last but not the least I personally extends my Thanks to Smt. Meenakshi Raj ji (founder and Administrator of “Maati Srijan”) who has started these kinds of events in East Delhi to promote budding artists and to make aware the people about the art and pottery.

Use blue and white cardstock.
Floral Handmade sheet I use for curvy shape.
Sentiment is Stamped.
Glossy blue flower.
Give stitched effect around the circle shape through gel pen.
Experiment with the envelop also this time, front of the envelop is blue n back of the envelop is white.Both Blue and white cardstock I use on the card so same colors I use on the envelop.

I used handmade sheets Red and Pink and black cardstock for this card.

Puffy stickers for hearts.(Finally got puffy stickers in my local market).

Sentiment is handwritten.

Four strips black and pink are of paper and the same strips I am using on my envelope.

I used green Cardstock for base and green handmade sheet for my for four bands on cards(bands are made by heart border punch).

I used pink stones on embossed handmade sheet.

Flower I made by quilling technique using duplex paper.

Sentiment is gold mettallic sticker.

I used the same green bands (which I used on my card) on my envelope also in order to create unity in my design.

This is a Miss You card, I have a cute floral patch, I utilise it for miss you card.

I got a beautiful pink handmade sheet from my local stationary shop. I paste it on black pastel sheet.

I don't have punch for giving curve shape so I first draw it and then cut it out.Same curve shape I made it for envelop also.

Red stones I easily got from my local market.

Sentiment is hand written.
