Hope you all are enjoying ICR 2nd Anniversary celebrations … yes we too are enjoying this celebration again in ICR as we had enjoyed it last year too.

Now I am here to make your weekend special by giving you some Valentine Goodies as freebies..yes Valentine freebies…. which we all love not only on Valentine’s day but throughout the year . These freebies are exclusively designed for ICR keeping in mind the Valentine theme. As we all know that valentine day is coming and these freebies are perfect for you for making cards for your loved ones.

This is a pdf file with some Valentine themed images that you can print and use on your card.

The way to use this freebie is to open the PDF In a pdf reader like Adobe Acrobat Reader and then print the entire document out. Use the images that you need on your project and save the rest for later.

Love the cheerful flower with our freebie element. Like the way how she used the flower with heart and musical back ground. Looks stunning for a Musical Valentine. Love this.

Now our next creation is pretty pinkish created by our DT Gopi.

GAME OF SURVIVOR FOR ICR {I-CR-VIVOR 2013}!!!

A GIST FROM THE PAST (2012):

{All of us know who a survivor is! And I bet many of us are familiar with the likely named GAME SHOW on TV…. I have come across many such games online too….. So here is the GAME OF SURVIVOR for you, ICRians!}

Think you have the game of Survivor all CALCULATED & RESOLVED? Think again!

Can you outsmart, out-stamp, out-embellish and outlast your opponents to survive? If so, get ready to play Survivor India, ICR ishtyle!

Game Start Date:

Wednesday February 15, 2013

ENTRY Close:

Thursday February 14, 2013 at exactly 11:59pm Indian Standard Time. No late entries will be accepted so please be sure to have your submission sent on time.

Object of the game:

To have your card avoid eliminations and be the last one remaining in the gallery.

Instructions:

Make yourself a card{ONE, OLD OR NEW}, as your official game entry. You can make your card very plain and simple with the hope that, what you put on your card flies under the radar and avoids elimination; OR you can choose to make your card absolutely wild and crazy and over the top with hopes that the crazy items on your card don’t get you eliminated! OR ANYTHING IN BETWEEN!

When your card is completed send it to indiancraftroom@gmail.com and title it ICRvivor2013….

Once the contest has begun, we will release an 'Elimination Statement' each and every morning. If your card contains the item listed in the elimination statement for that day, it is removed from the game and from the collection.

An elimination statement might look something like this: 'If your card contains a red brad, you are eliminated from play.' So, all entries containing a red brad(s) will be eliminated from the game.

Elimination statements will be released each day by BHAVANA KESARKAR, until we have just one card remaining in the gallery. The final card is our ICR Survivor and is the winner of the contest ‘ICRvivor 2013’ and the prize!


The Rules:

1. Only ONE entry per player, please.
2. Please be sure that your entry/photo is as clear as possible (ie. no tiny little photos, no blurry photos).
3. When sending your entry, be sure to provide an accurate list of all items/colors/techniques/stamp manufacturers used on your card. {If you fail to do this, your entry will be removed}.
4. There must be minimum 12 entries in the ‘ICRvivor 2013 Collection’, on the day that the game commences. After all, it is “THE MORE, THE MERRIER”….If there are fewer than 12 cards, the game will be postponed until a later date or until we have the minimum number of entries.

The Prize: We are pleased to let you know that LAWN FAWN STAMPS is sponsoring a cool set of stamps!

PROCEDURE {To keep things fair} :

1. only standard greeting cards will be accepted into play. No ATCs, or altered items are permitted.
2. 2013, ICR introduces a token system... Every participating crafter would receive ONE TOKEN each & the crafter with the most number of tokens for the month of Feb, would be in for a sumptuous treat!
3. Since Asha(ICR Admin.) would have an access to all the entries, our DT BHAVANA KESARKAR, would release the ‘Elimination Statements’ in a dedicated Discussion for the GAME…. And once the statement is released, Asha(ICR Admin.) would look into the I-CR-vivor collection and post the cards that are OUT OF THE RACE! So do check back IN to see if you and your CARD is a SURVIVOR in the race for ICRvivor 2013!

Game would be played only for its ‘fun quotient’ and is in no way related to ICR Challenges and its Judging Process…Would continue in Seasons, Year after Year!

Just Refreshing My Childhood Memories as well as yours too

Hi all

Yesterday I was just sitting with one of my relatives and discussed some of our all time favourite TV commercials and title songs which we used to watch in our childhood days on Doordarshan channel(India's first TV Channel).

Then suddenly an idea came in to my mind that why not write an interesting post sharing our all time TV commercials/title songs and refresh not only my childhood memories but also the memories of my readers too.

I searched on You tube and found an awesome collection there. There are so many videos there but I pick few to share with you.

Now here comes my favourites which refresh my childhood memories as well as yours too-

This cadbury ad. actually I am not sure I saw it on Doordarshan or any other cable network channel but really like it.

Special thanks to:

• Doordarshan channel-who really cherished our childhood days with their awesome ads which we never ever forget through out our life.
• You tube- who makes it so easy for us to search any video.

ICR DESIGNER AUDITIONS {3}

Design Team Call:

If you are crazy about stamping and/or paper crafting, love challenges and is a good team player - then we are looking for you...

ICR is looking to add a Designer to our Creative team.

Submissions will be taken until: Jan 28th

New Design Team will be posted on or about- Jan 30th

Details:

1. Term is for 6 Months (Feb - July 2013)

2. Submissions must be emailed to indiancraftroom@gmail.com by January 28th, 2013. Please put Design Team Call in the subject line

3. Please include the following directly in the body of email - please do not provide any links to your blogs or online resumes. All the details mentioned below should be in the email,

*Two projects that show case you as a designer or shows your design style.
*Any past DT experiences - we are not looking for any. So even if you have never been on any DT you can still apply.
*Any publications or honorary mentions.
*Your name, address, phone, email & blog address

The Design Team member will be required to:

*Take part in our Monthly Challenges following the theme of the set Challenge; Which means 1 project a month { you will know all of the upcoming challenges in advance, so no hassles} [ANY type of inspiration project: cards, scrap book layouts, paper creations, altered art... whatever makes YOU happy!]
*Take part in any other events that we may hold, like a Blog Hop or other special events on ICR.
*Have a BLOG to post and promote ICR and all its happenings.
*Turn in ASSIGNMENTS ON TIME and the ability to work quickly in case of emergency submissions.
*Commit to COMMENTING on ALL participation to challenges AND submissions on ICR.
*Post our ICR Blinkie in signatures & on your blog!
*Provide at least 1 Tutorial during your 6 month term (more are always welcome)
*Help the team with Challenge Sponsorships etc.

Disclaimer:

Please only apply if you are a serious designer and can commit 6 months to ICR. You do not necessarily need experience, but commitment and being DRAMA FREE is a MUST!
