Summer Activities for Kids...Day-6

Hi Folks

We(my daughter and me) are back now.

Its Day-6 of Summer Activities for kids.

Our Day -6 activity is Paper Collage.

It can be used as a Wall Art too.

So here we go..

Material Needed:

Illustration which can be used as a Paper Collage. I draw the fruits composition.

Glaze papers of various colors as per the requirement of your composition/Illustration which can easily be available in your local market.

Glue

Now everything with us..Lets get started...

 Tear the tiny pieces of Yellow Glaze paper. Spread glue over the Banana drawing and paste tiny pieces of yellow glaze papers over it. My daughter loved to tear the pieces of paper. This technique is called Paper collage/Paper Tearing.

 Then we tear the tiny pieces of Red  Glaze paper.
Spread glue over the Apple drawing and paste tiny pieces of Red glaze papers over it.

 Then we tear the tiny pieces of Black Glaze paper.
Spread glue over the Grapes drawing and paste tiny pieces of Black glaze papers over it.

Then we filled the Pear shape with the tiny pieces of Olive Green Glaze papers.

Pineapple shape is filled with tiny pieces of Yellow, Green and Brown glaze papers.

Its leaves are filled with tiny pieces of Olive green and Dark  green Glaze papers.

After finishing the composition with tiny pieces of Glaze papers we add some detailing. We drew the outline of all the fruits with black pen.

Now the most interesting part is its BG.

Which we filled with the tiny pieces of newspaper.

At last we framed it by adding paper frame. Its simply cut it out from an Ivory Sheet.

Summer Activities for Kids...Day-5

Hi Folks

We(my daughter and me) are back now.

Its Day-5 of Summer Activities for kids.

Our Day -5 activity is Wall Art with Pencil Dust.

I combine basic crafting, Origami and Paper Relief (It’s a technique in art in which paper is raised. I raised the paper by scoring, folding and by giving support of foam tape at the back of the elements) together in this Wall Art.

So here we go..

  

Material Needed:

  Sturdy Pattern papers.I use American Craft 12x12 sheets.

Cardstock for base.

Pencil Dust...yes of course...

Glue.

Ruler

Scissors.

Double sided Foam tape.

Now everything with us..Lets get started...

 We cut Pot shape from Pattern papers(top and Bottom). Layered both the pieces on top of one another with the help of Double sided Foam tape to give it a relief or 3D effect.

Base is Blue CS.

Flower is made from Pencil dust. yes indeed a most interesting part of this Wall Art which my 3+ years old daughter loves a lot.

Cut leaves and stem with Green Pattern Paper.

Leaves are scored and Folded from center and pasted at the bottom only to give it a raised or relief or 3D effect.

  

Flowers from Pencil Dust. Love the curvy petals of these flowers.

Now add little origami in it.

Fan fold the printed gift paper for butterflies.

At last we find everything look flat and something was missing. So we add frame on it.

You can add frame in your first step too.
