We(my daughter and me) are back now.

Its Day-10 of Summer Activities for kids.

Our Day -10 activity is Thumb Painting..

How to use innovative ways of doing Drawing and Painting...?

Once my daughter was playing with her toys.

She picked up few alphabets blocks. Placed on her table upside down. Filled it with water.

Took a brush and a piece of paper in her hand. She dipped the brush in water and started applying it on a piece of paper as if she was doing a painting with colors. I was watching all these and I was so surprised that how she found that idea of using her blocks. I never ever imagined this earlier that toys can be used in a so much innovative way. It was a play for her but immediately it stuck in my mind that why not do some painting activity with these blocks in the same way as my daughter used it. So I planned this Thumb painting activity and made coloring and mixing palette with alphabets blocks.

Now you see how a mother is inspired by her daughter.

How a mother found new ideas from her daughter..

So we both made this activity a fun.  

So this is our new Coloring Palette.

 First we draw a rough sketch on a piece of paper. We simply  used A4 size Ivory sheet.

Colors for Thumb Prints. We used water colors.

Water, Brushes

 Started applying  colors on background space.

 Now color the tree trunk .

Framed one.

Its Painting Time...Thumb and Finger Prints activity

 We (My daughter and Me) are back with our another activity.

We are in a mood to do some painting this time.

 First I spread a newspaper on a table and give her a paint box, a brush and a water container.

I think newspaper is the best for doing painting with little kids. 

 She immediately picked a brush and applied colors on a newspaper. Yes I told her first how to pick brush and how to apply colors. She wish to do painting by her own without taking the help of her Mom.

Actually I wish to do some fingers and thumb painting with her but she like to play with colors and brush by her own.

It took me two days to convince her  but yes finally I took  thumb and finger prints of her and she enjoyed it too.

Now I converted her thumb and finger prints in to tiny doodlings.

Finally I cut doodlings in to small pieces and pasted it on a White Cardstock.
I like the Clean and Simple look of it.

Now its ready for framing too.

Painting With My Little daughter

Hi all

I am back with my another creation. Its Water Color Painting with my Little daughter.

My daughter name is Akriti. she is 22 months old. When she saw my painting basket first time which is full of colors and brushes I realize that she is eager to play with them.

I decided to start some painting with her just to check her interest. So I picked some waste newspaper just to start with her, some brushes and water colors and water container.

We started with Thumb painting.

We paint some thumb impressions with water colors.

Then we spread some yellow color at top part for sky and blue color at bottom part for water.

After drying of colors I gave some finishing touches to her painting.

I converted the thumb impressions into the little fishes. 

Made some waves.

She surprisingly look at me that what her mother is doing with her painting.

Look at my Little painter...she is busy in washing her brushes.

I pasted Ivory sheet at the back of her creation to make it sturdy.

We are planning(My Hubby n Me) to frame her first creation...will share her framed creation too soon.
